Less than 48 hours before I hand in my notice at work and slightly over a month until my flight to Buenos Aires.

... Velindre hospital we were given a great welcome by the fund raising team, who made us tea, coffee & kindly posed for photographs with me.

Next stop, Bristol via the new Severn bridge.

Thanks to Lyndsey's hard work, we were given another great welcome & supplied with hot drinks and more great photo opportunities with the staff.

So after 6 months away and visiting 8 different countries, we have now arrived, reluctantly, back in England. Although its not as cold as we were expecting, which is a bonus!

We have had a fantastic time and visited some amazing places, and we are now hoping that reality doesn't hit us too hard!

Well I'm getting quite excited now! last night I met Colin, Wendy, Leigh and Sarah, 3 of the team that will be riding with me. They were all really nice and Wendy had even made me a leather waistcoat but I might have to cut down on the doughnuts as it was a little snug!

... on a plane.  Even managed to have a wine after breakfast.  Well it is after 5pm in Australia.  After changing stations and trains in London (this did include a ride in a taxi) we arrived at Jeanie's place in Southend on Sea and Trish came running out of the house, so excited to see us and Jeanie was waiting inside.  Her hip is not to good so is a bit slow getting around.  It is so nice to sit in her kitchen, not having to worry about what we look like.  It is a bit ...

From there we detoured to our very good friends, The Phillips, down in Southend; and played with the greatest kid the world has ever seen. From there it was a quick trip over the QE2 bridge into the land of milk and honey - Kent.

Well folks, this is it. We've finally reached the climax, the blog of all blogs. Surely the first and last ever blog entry ever made from Southend. Well, it's Tuesday and I fly out on Friday. I've left my job, left the excitement of life in Kings Cross (please do not assume the job and Kings X are linked...), sub-let my room, re-homed the cat (Dave, I hope you're enjoying your new life in Durham, not that you're going to read this....), packed up and am now back with mum and dad in good old Southend on sea.
