      ... YES!!

So tomorrow my adventure begins. I'm leaving at 7:30am January 12, 2015 Eastern Standard Time, and arriving at 5pm January 14, 2015 Auckland Time. I will never see the day January 13, 2015. What a fun way to travel with four grandkids and four adults! The grandkids called the RV the moving livingroom as they were able to sit at the table and color, look at books and have snacks. We traveled to Jakes Corn Maze where we picked apples, traveled through ...

I felt a little queasy as I gulped down my cold oatmeal this morning, very aware of the foul odor wafting from my bike clothes. Back on Surly, with the repaired flat, I hoped the stench would dissipate as I cycled off from camp to go on the TART Trail. (Traverse Area Recreation Trail) I met a vacationing ...

... Surly's wheels were Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, "Puncture Proof"-it was flat as a pancake. Maura had warned me many times to practice changing a flat, but I did not listen. Last winter we drove up to Hingham, MA to take a free REI bicycle maintenance class. The young bike guy showed us how to zip-zip change a flat, I didn't ...
