    ... the years, I have not met one person from Lithuania and I know nothing about their language and am not as familiar with their culture.     ... made my last trip so miserable. I ask the Universe, "WTF?" and my enthusiasm for my adventure plummets as I imagine hobbling across Isle Royale in tears.

    A bit more than a week before my departure, my back is still sore, and now I start having abdominal pains. Cramps? It's too soon for my period, which is scheduled (to my dismay) to start the minute I set foot on Isle Royale. Gas? Cancer?     ... out our old homes. They have weathered the 40 years pretty well. We spent a very pleasant afternoon with Naomi and Joe Leonici in Streamwood catching up and telling stories. Thursday night we had dinner at my Cousin Brett's. Jeanie had a delicious lasagna dinner and Sharilyn and her two boys were there also.     ... which means I look at processes and ways to improve them. My first project has involved a cleaning process that they have to do every 2 hours and takes 15 minutes. I have reduce the time it takes them to do this. It may not seem like much, but all those minutes add up into a lot of time where they could be producing product.
