... I'm not sure why, but that whole process doesn't seem as scary anymore.
I was VERY close to signing up for a volunteer trip to Costa Rica when the Morocco opportunity came my way. After I got back from Morocco, I wanted to make this a reality, so I signed up to volunteer for one week in an orphanage in Costa Rica at the end of February. The program is through (IVHQ) International Volunteer HeadQuarters, and I have heard nothing but positive ...

Its really back on the road for us and only a quick stop here before we head onto our next pit-stop here in Wisconsin, we are also moving fast to see if we can escape the weather, it is starting to get chilly! We hope all is well and are thinking of everyone.
Lots of Love, the feeling colder, Bek and Jesse Train.
After picking up our cool little Toyota motor we headed up to Green Bay. The Wisconsin countryside is beautiful and made me and Adrian both think respectively of our home countries. I guess it was the farm landscapes. They are beautiful.
We had a nice quiet evening and the next day we went to the wildlife santuary where we saw cute little coyotes, bob cats, a cougar, otters ...
... us were pretty close together. I watched lots of movies and played lots of Solitare. I tried sleeping, but I just can't get comfy enough. Thankfully I had my pashmina along! A very nice extra blanket. We tried to do another "Roman" tour at the Detroit airport - fountains, Metro, lots of people We were very excited to be back in the States.
I am so glad I went on this trip. I have always ...

After the rained stopped it was a very long but for the most part a pleasent ride. 577 miles today. I was pretty tired after the 400th mile.
It was gloomy all day through out the entire rid, but enjoyed it ...
Well, I've started this travel blog a little prematurely, but I'm too excited to keep everything quiet. Trisha and I have officially started saving for our world travel adventure which will begin on the 6th of April 2010. Still deciding exactly where to start our trip and how it's all going to work out. All I know is that it WILL happen. 9 months to go. Until then this blog will help me organize my thoughts, ideas and potential travel destinations. Can't wait to get started.
Today is the crazy long day of travel. Right now I'm sitting at the Detroit airport, for the last how many hours. The group seems super nice so far. We'll see after 2 weeks. Actually I think it will go really well. I'm so excited. The first flight was on a tine ...

Next week I do my first presentation/travel talks at one of our libraries. It will be geared more toward kids, so I'm going to focus on Moroccan customs, things we did, the food we ate, etc. I figure these are things kids can relate to pretty easily. I ordered a caftan online to wear, because it was inexpensive.
This past weekend I picked up some ...
... dog saw me, she ran up and kept jumping all over me, so I was glad she remembered who I was. I stayed there for awhile (and took a nap on the couch) and then drove my car back to my house in the afternoon. I couldn't believe how much had changed in the month we were gone. On the morning I left, the grass was still brown and ugly and the trees were without leaves. I pulled into my driveway to a lawn that really needed to be cut, and the hastas were already ...

For the second part of the trip, we will be going to Xi'an. This is the ancient capital of China, and the location of a number of museums and cultural sites, including the Terracotta Warriors. That part of the trip will be on our own, and is both really exciting and a little ...
