Urlaub pur

Day 30 - Ollys arrogance makes him sick

Waking up by rolling a few meters on the sand into the sea is fun (not as fun as shirt ball though). After leaving town we realised there was road works on the road we needed to be on. It was begining to seem like there would have to be a massive detour but by skillfully pointing at my bike and the road many times until the workers let us go down it; despite massive diggers swinging about. Spanish ...

Day 29- Shirt ball!

We woke up with ALL of our stuff after having a hassle free night. Well, apart from the surronding gays and tractors. We spent a majority of the day chilling on the beach playing kick the bean bag and a new game called shirt ball.

Me and Alex invented shirt ball as a way of cleaning our t-shirts in the sea without getting bored. The rules are simple, you basically tie a tshirt up in to a small ball and throw it at each other as ...

Viajando a tierras catalanas...

A couple in Costa Dorada!

... valuables you have on you.

We meandered through the Gothic Quarter and after getting ourselves a little lost, we took a cab and headed to the Sagrada Familia. A lot of Barcelona’s buildings in the Gothic Quarter date back to medieval times and there are also notable examples of Modernist architecture. One of the finest examples of the ...

Tarragona...a city full of History

... however, definitely, a place worth a visit, and to spend some time.

You could walk these streets for hours if you had the stamina (and not the young children), and the time. The museum visits (where you can visit vaults, more city walls, sculpture and pottery) will definitely but next on our agenda when we return .. and I really hope, that's not in the too distance future.

Incredible.

Villanova....Barcelona

... the cable car etc). Something for everyone. As well as the 'Christopher Columbus Monument', one the most interesting sights was that of the 'Sagrada Familia' which is still under construction. So...? Well, the building on it actually started in the late 19th century (thinking english/europe church with tall, tall steeples), and it is now funded through the church-goers, entrance fees, donations etc. This was Gaudi's dream and when ...
