Malta II
... high trail, when my **** thongs snapped and lost my balance and tumbled about 5 metres. It was a sheer drop of about 2 metres so there was no way to get back up. I slowly crab walked down to a lower trail, taking about an hour in the intense heat, with my feet bleeding from the thorns and sharp stones. My flights from Dubai to Malta were pretty good. I liked them alot more than the long flight. I had a flight from Dubai to Larnaca and then a one hour stopover before then heading onward to Malta. Festa by day
... a great thing to see and amazing how those men get the statue up there for it is quite large and you have to remember they've been carrying it for 3 hours in the heat.
We then saw the fireworks which were not as good as Hallija but that's because they don't have the space for a big display, but it was still good.

... off every 30 sec for the next hour and then as 11pm approached they went ballistic. Now it's probably hard to tell from the photos but were very close to the fireworks, so close that you would have black bits and pieces falling on you. Mel even got some in her eye.
