... Foreign in its rhythm and still all too familiar.

A week spent snorkelling, idly swimming, lying on rocks that warmed our hearts, staring without intent at a horizon vacant of white caps, admiring the super highway of yachts, collecting rocks that were abandoned at the end of the day.

Views from the Calvi Citadel and the fortress gave us brilliant panoramic views over the harbour, the water so blue and crystal clear. The pink L'Eglise Santa Maria church in the centre of the village is a distinct city landmark. The top of the church looks like it had an ...

... The massage was nothing like anything I've ever had before. I stayed fully clothed, darn. It was a Thai massage, and they get to trigger-points and push hard. They also put you into positions to stretch the large muscle groups. It felt really good. I just wish I could fully relax when I have a massage. That's what they are all about, right?

I got back to the room and showered and tried to call my mom several times. Her phone wouldn't work so ...

We left our hotel good time this morning and went into town for breakfast. We each got a pan au chocolate and walked across the street for our coffee and juice.

The drive today was especially beautiful. The roads were curvy and really steep, but the mountain and rock formations reminded us both of Bryce Canyon and even Zion. There was very little traffic, so it was a relatively easy drive. We ...
