... fun story to tell now but our guide said that if the bus hadn´t come for another few minutes then the gang members might have turned up and we would be in big trouble!!!! Whoops!!!!! Don´t tell mum!!!!!!
Buenos Aires is an absolutely fantastic city and I think the best so far. We could have stayed for a few weeks and still have more to see. But, we are off to Uruguay in the morning for our next adventure so watch this space.
Blog you later.

... its as you see it in the pictures but people don’t actually live in those colourful houses, they have been set up for tourists! Restaurateurs line the 3 or 4 streets that make up this tourist haunt and try and vie for your business. The place is like a theme park - ITS NOT REAL! I FEEL DECIEVED!
Anyway - moving on…we’ve ticked off most the touristy places, La Recoleta which is the “most exclusive” barrio in Buenos Aires - you can tell too ...
... elegant as I felt, but still, I flew three times...!
Then we went to a place. A restaurant called "un lugar", a place, haha. It was a place that Caro told me on beforehand that I will love, and she was right. A really weird place, there is no sign or anything on the outside, just looks like an abandoned house. The interior again is very special... it is CRAMMED with stuff, everywhere. Old furniture, inventories, art, statues, bikes, dried insects, you name it... and you ...
... South America, and more importantly some travelers who have already been to the places we were heading for. One English girl had lived in Venezuela for a year and had heaps of good tips and contacts, which has pretty much sorted out our agenda for Venezuela. I shall contact the Spanish teacher she recommended over the next few days. An important feature of this teacher is that she is Venezuelan and money paid directly to her will contribute to the local community and not to ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina casebrownfamilyBack to BA for a couple of nights. Found an awesome and ridiculously cheap hostel in Palermo. We decided to give ourselves a break from all the cultural malarky and went to the zoo which was absolutely amazing. Its really strange going to a zoo that is on a different continent from your own because you end up spending a lot of time ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina willandlindsey... being sung than danced to and I was in a very bad mood by the time we left. Felt like we had really been ripped off. Though the dancing was great (have seen better on´Strictly Come Dancing´ though) we all got side tracked by this fat little kid on the next table who virtually inhaled a massive steak dinner while we sat there dribbling into our laps. As SOON as it finshed we walked out(still facing the stage and clapping) got into a cab and indulged our irritation ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina sara.a... around since 1913! It is so old it has wooden interior and light bulbs rather than neon lights. And when you go on the first coach you actually ride next to the conductor and can open the window. And the doors, they open and close while the train is still moving. It reminded me of the double ...
Da laeuft das (Be-)schreiben hoffentlich fluessiger.
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina laurinaway... was going to be a hot one. We stayed in and relaxed, did computer stuff and Susan and I watched a movie. That evening Brian grilled up some new steaks that turned out great. Oh, so good. After dinner, Brian and I wanted to do something a little "different" so we went to this club that turned into a transvestite show at night. I know, weird. But this show had been reviewed as being great and really fun. It was supposed to start at midnight ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina unbound... anyway! * They are OBSESSED with medialunas (literally half moon- or actually their sickly sweet ´croissant´´.,,..they like to THINK they are eating croissants...they arent...) and gelati. Actually gelati here is the best i have ever tried in my life- i didnt know it could exist at this conoisseur level! Im told its because of their Italian heritage and today in class some people said it was better here trhan the gelati they had in Italy! All time classic ...
