... fruit... Lazing by the pool, we topped up our tan and I even managed to get sunburnt feet! Although cold, the pool was a welcome place to cool-off.

... the beach. After a slow wander home, we made our way to Playa del Carmen for my birthday night out. Its an hour long bus ride, but a great way to see some of the island. We find a small restaurant overlooking the ocean for dinner, and I'm quite proud get ashamed to say, that we scoffed the most amazing meat platter - family size - 2 pork chops, 4 chicken breasts, 3 small steaks, 2 pork belly and 2 large steaks! ... bags and during that time Derek arrived back home after also successfully completing the long exhausting day as well!!
We helped clean out his stuff too while he went in to lay down and talk with Dave.
Now I'm getting ready to call it a night. I didn't even compete and I'm exhausted so can't imagine how those poor boys feel gosh! Me and me have our flight back to London tomorrow! Still have 3 more days to spend in the city and so excited for my bus ...
... 50 meters to the water and Em hadn't stopped moving so I hurried after her across the scorching sand. Seriously so painful but reaching the water felt so good. The water was so clear and I was so bummed I didn't have my suit. We walked all along the beach and learned along the way it was a very European beach, lots of topless women. Finally headed back up to the shops to meet up with the boys and even grabbed some ice cream on the way. I tried to ...
... and then I didn't remember "verde" meant green so I kept pushing the wrong button. All those years of Spanish and didn't even remember my colors. Whoops.
Enjoyed a fine array of salami, cheese and crackers while watching the iron man parade process through the hotel. The parade was led by this all female drum line and they were thee most lively group! It was a very very cool experience to see. Just kickin' it all day tomorrow, really hoping the sun decides to come ...
