We've been incredibly lucky with the weather so far but apparently a cold front us coming next week. We'll be here fur the next two nights and will attempt to find a TV to watch the Wales vs England game tomorrow and hopefully try and catch the Cowboys game. Go the Roos too Bruce!

... We went to Callanish Standing Stones and took some photos there, before heading off, in driving rain, northwards to a Settlement village, where we had our picnic. From there, we got back on the main road and got very wet! You know you are in a windy place when people tie their wheely bins to the fence. The ferry crossing takes an hour as it zig zags past all the little islands. The trip was a little lumpy with the ferry doing a weird corkscrewing thing. So finally arrived on the isle of Harris. So far so good with the weather, windy but ...

Collected at 8.30 by our new driver/guide, Doug. He's a lot more casual than Richard, possibly a bit more suited to a younger trip, but he does have an eclectic taste in music playing local folk type music which is quite often political in content to good 60/70s music. This time in the group we have the usual Kiwis and Aussies, plus three English, two Canadians, one from Taiwan, and one from Austria. The almost three hour sail to Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis was mill pond smooth and ...
