... for a walk around the neighborhood and to the town gates. Old Town Nesebar (where we are) sits on a small peninsula that is connected to the new town by a manmade isthmus. It takes 20 minutes to walk from the gates to the other end of the peninsula, so it's pretty much impossible to get lost (but watch me manage it tomorrow). We left Plovdiv for a long day on the bus to the city of Nesebar on the Black Sea. After a two hour drive we arrived in Stefan's hometown of Kazanlak in the Valley of the Roses. Here they manufacture 90% of the world's rose oil. The roses were done blooming, but we passed FIELDS of sunflowers and lavender. Gorgeous!! Also a couple of wagons pulled by horses with pom poms.
