Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico pamericasFrom the ship we boarded a bus for a tour of the city. It took us around the bay <br>of the city. Then a Short street to the Pacific side where the <br>Cliff divers are. We were able to shop for about 30 minutes, then went through the la brea hotel to<br>look at the cliff where the divers jump from ...

Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico orion.a... advertised rate; I got a room for 200 Peso. Other hotels looked just as good on this stretch but I found it hard to pick a single fault with Hotel Villa Roxana. <br><br>Through the same gates as Villa Roxana is Hotel Villa Nirvana. This has the advantage of rooms facing the ocean but the rooms are no better and come at a higher cost.
Pie de la Cuesta, Guerrero, Mexico amazingjourneys... the shade beneath the palapa a hammock rustled and la dueña appeared with a menu in hand. I ordered a beer and sat down to contemplate the strand. Along its entirety there was not a soul to be seen. The weight of the ocean crashed in repeatedly around me. Sometimes I would elude its power by diving into a wave just as it was on the verge of collapse; sometimes I would resist the tyranny, standing Canute-like before a breaker until I was overwhelmed with a boom, dragged ...
Acapulco, Mexico fintan... it off Mike woke up with 6 mozzie bites on his left ankle.... itchy itchy, scratchy scratchy. We left Acapulco at 7am! As we were boarding the bus we found out that the road half way was cut off, and that we´d have to take a detour! Instead of a 7hr journey to Puerto Escondido, a 10hr journey.... painful!!! We´ll give ye an update on the Surf Town of Puerto Escondido as soon as we figure it all out.
Acapulco, Mexico mickandsarah... flames painted on the doors and a great sound system. Jeff and I began the next day by working at fixing the muffler so that the stuff in the trunk didn´t melt (Jeff lost a pair of shoes and some pool toys) and then we started the 6 hour drive to a really nice beach town called Puerto Escondido. Mexican roads are notorious for having random speed bumps, or topes, all along the major highways here. We assumed that they were placed there by locals shop owners ...
Acapulco, Pacific Coast, Mexico jay.leasa... chat them up. Luckily the language barrier was such that I managed to leg it without causing offence, while he continued to drunkenly pursue his prey with some fantastically non-Spanish sentences. A bit worried that Chris might try to pile into my room later for some reason or other, I slept lightly, and then decided to get an early bus to Acapulco, just about the nearest coastal town to the capital. The taxi which took me there was an astounding ...
