... was a breeze because we have e-passports but the same can't be said about Customs. Because of recent Ebola and MERS outbreaks everybody had to fill in a declaration form of where they have travelled for the past 21 days and then queue to hand these forms in. The strange thing was that the person who you handed your form to didn't even look at them. They just placed them in a pile. Bureaucracy gone mad! I must write to the Minister ...
And so it ends. After an amazing 6 weeks we're home!
The flights back were good - LA to Auckland to Melbourne. We watched a bit of TV (nothing like a bit of Walking Dead and Game of Thrones to pass the time) and slept most of the way.
Travel is such a weird experience. When you're there, you're there in the moment. Then as soon as you get home it's all a memory. Did we really do all that? Was it only 6 weeks? Memphis feels like months ago!!

... then G spent the evening with her parents while B caught up with a friend. Finally, Monday morning we both just had a bit of a sleep in and spent some time with our parents before meeting up at the airport to fly home.

... a camper booked in NZ to pick up yesterday but obviously couldn't get it because of not getting to NZ. By the time we landed, got our bags, figured out where we needed to go and started trying to get there it was too late to pick up the camper today. We managed to get on a train and met Sutty along the way who picked us up and took us to his. It was nice to be in company of Yorkshire people again but also nice to be in a house again. I definitely do miss four walls around ...
