... with all the essentials we were going to need for the week. When we got back we managed to get onto our pitch and got set up, bit of an awkward squeeze as the pitch is long but only 5m wide so to ensure we could get the van out when we needed to we had to squeeze it all in a bit. Today we were hitting the road to Barcelona for the day, we got up reasonably early, got packed up and hit the road stopping for our final on site bakery breakfast on our way out... The journey to Barcelona took just under 2 hours so nothing too painful and traffic was fine, we directed the sat nav straight to the Nou Camp as we wanted to get tickets sorted for the match tonight first and then spend the day exploring before the match kicked off at 10pm. ... The drive there was memorable enough, but the tiny village was spectacular, all ensconced within ancient walls and necessitating a hike down and up to even reach the outer gate. It made for some good picture taking.

We stopped in a few other scattered villages during the morning, but we had an appointment to keep at noon. Jeff had befriended two brothers who run a winery in the village of Poboleda. Jeff has known them for more than a ...

... The rental agreement listed several of the areas of damage, but we took the time to inspect the van before leaving, which was a good thing, as there were two huge areas of damage on two sides that weren't recorded on our agreement. Lest we be blamed (and charged), I grabbed an agent and had him take note of ALL the damage, which was in the end very fortuitous.
