Days 176 - 180: Cali and the bus to San Augustin

... half hour later for San Augustin and arrived 6 hours later. The ride was disappointing because the bus was decked out to be the official "Iron Man" movie bus and had a sweet sound system with an incredible flat screen TV. We thought we'd get to watch Iron Man or something but instead we just got more bad Colombian music the whole way. The bus dropped us off at a really sketchy intersection in the middle of the road and we weren't sure what to do. Just then, ...

It was perfect for this time of year as the plaza was brimming with Colombians enjoying this festive period. We were able to listen to all the street performers playing their local music. Secondly, while in Cali we met a group of Belgians. As is to be expected they ...

I should really look at maps a bit better sometimes, as after a few hours exploration (most of which trying to find the holy trinity of wifi, plug sockets and a toilet in the same location ) I was absolutely shattered, barely able to open my eyes but having to jump on yet another nightbus.

Incidently if you do find a place that has all those 3 ...

      Friday 3rd January

Another hot day, and the yoga session at 1pm proves quite a challenge, not least because it is conducted entirely in Spanish. It is also quite strenuous. Neither of us are getting enough exercise during this traveling lark.

The 7pm salsa lesson is particularly fast and furious. I am not the only one who is ...
