... both in and out on our journey so far.

Picked up a local paper at this campsite, very interesting indeed. First thing of note was the write up about the storm earlier in the week, which was apparently the worst they’d had in 20 years. There was a picture of a Beach Bar in Torre del Mar which we walked past whilst they were cleaning up, Penny commented as there were girls in shorts and ...

Well todays campsite is different. It's out of the Aires book, which is 'cheap’ or free ‘parking’. Actually there are no ACSI campsites in Malaga and this one is a storage facility, so we thought we’d feel safe, and we do.

However, the walk to the bus stop is another story. Do not return in the dark and it’s best to jog the 300m, there’s no path and it’s really busy, the lorries passing really hurt ...

The fountain is quite spectacular, a very long waterfall behind shrubbery, and jets of water above it. From here we walk uphill (always uphill), to the Hospital Real, now a University of Granada campus, divided ...

... time any of us were here Ronda was a village. It has grown out of all recognition with new roads built and is nothing like we remembered. The hotel is also half full of Japanese. Consequently, we are not looking forward to the breakfast buffet tomorrow as it will probably look as if it has been denuded by a swarm of locusts. But tomorrow is another day It has briefly stopped raining so a quick trip outside might be called ...

        The birthplace of bullfighting, Ronda!

... training for knights in the 16th C, but it was Ronda's native son, Francisco Romero and his sons who established the 'rules' of modern bullfighting. The art is revered here, not considered a sport, but a cultural event.

Ronda was immortalized in chapter 10 of Ernest Hemingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls", which I felt I should read since we were coming here...the chapter, based on real events, is ...
