Accion de Gracias

... last time I ate that good. I had so much I thought I was going to get sick. It was a real good night. Even though we are so far from home and the traditional Thanksgiving (which is my favorite holiday...food and it's not commercialized), it felt a little bit like home. We laughed a lot. At the end I told the woman who I assume owns the restaurant that it was very good and I could tell she appreciated hearing that. She also told me ...

... girlfriend, Maria. Alex reminds me of my high school Spanish teacher. They got some mojitos at a bar but they did not like them so Alex went back in and bought a beer. Maria asked the bartender about the mojitos and why they taste different and the bartender told her that they mixed it with a different kind of soda because they didn’t have any more of the usual kind. So there we were standing in the street drinking and he was ...

Hung over again

... and went for a walk along the strip again but the most of the places where closed up now so we had a pint in an irish bar again and then we went looking for food. We decided to stop off in another english place called Rumours and could not believe it when they put on all the soaps. We caught up with emmerdale and eastenders until I could take no more and we went off to get some chinese food. It was horrid and made us both feel a ...

Too Funny

We made it to the port in a taxi one thing I will say about Morroco its really really cheap for everything and you could get by here with such little money. We got a little hassle from a guy at the port trying to help us but they want money when they help you so as usual Ian left it to me to get rid of him and explain that we did not have any money luckily this time he went off without too much hassle.

... is heavier than i normally travel with, getting around the london train stations is challenging at best especially when there is no escalator or elevator.on two seperate occasions during this trek i was surprised to get two seperate offers from complete strangers to help me carry my luggage down the stair. i look at this as nothing more than good karma, if you put it out there it will come back to you. i guess helping the lost tourists in san francisco paid off?

Morocco deserves more than a day!

... the pool, cooking for ourselves, and watching MTV in German (South Park is hilarious, BTW) it was time for another adventure.
We ended up booking an actual group tour to Morocco for the day. We wanted to go check it out on our own, but it was actually cheaper to do it though the tour, so we got up at 5:45 in the morning on Thursday and got on the bus to Tarifa, where we would take the ferry over to Tangier.
Even though it´s only a 35 minute ferry ride, Tangier really is ...

Where the Bullfight Was Born

... No words or pictures could fully capture the essence of this city, you just have to be there to fully experience its beauty. I then explored the city, going to places that are not commonly visited by tourists, I did some shopping, had a beer and tapas at a small restaurant and then walked through the park. Unfortunately, the day was cut short due to time restrictions and I did not have the chance to do everything I wanted to do but I will definitely be back.

Malaga City Tour

After breakfast and nice stroll on the beach, we head out to see the next city in the list which was Malaga. Malaga is very big compare to its size on the map :)
The trick is to head out to the old part of town to see the actions. Lots of architectures are dated back few years.
Cathedral as like the other places, is a must see in the old city. Small cobble stone alleys make it very nice and easy for walk.
The best ...

Back to School ? - Cathedral de Malaga/Alcazba

Easter Monday is noted as coolest day of week - 65F so we decide to placate Mom and head to Malaga for some art and cathedral viewing. Doesn't sit well w/ the girls until I promise to book a horseback ride through the Sierra in afternoon. We get on the A7 and its a traffic jam all the way...90 minutes to go 45 km. Girls are nauseous from the stick shift motion. I try to take side roads , but only adds time. We arrive at the Malaga Cathedral ...

... able to get Internet access all day, so we theorized that maybe the two were connected. In any event, we got some great photos from our balcony as we circled. I got confused about which land mass was which, but think Africa, being farthest away from us, is always the cloudy far-distant land mass. John really worked at getting photos, because the sun was in the wrong direction for good shots. These are the best of maybe 30 tries.
