Cala Gonzalez Vinaros

Our stop for the evening was the town of Peniscola – and yes I laugh every time I say it! Hee hee!!! It had a long sandy beach and the old fort town was on the peninsular at the end of the beach up on a hill. We found about a dozen campers parked at the bottom of the old town and made ourselves at home. Being out of season the place was pretty quiet. Bought some provisions ...

... rice. We found the flamingos and they were about 30-40 m away from the road so out with the binoculars to get a better look. Such elegant birds and when they lift their wings the underside is bright pink – very pretty. We stopped at a few more look outs where we saw herons, stalks and lots of different types of ducks. This town was really in the middle of nowhere. There was a huge windstorm and the town was super dead, except for a bunch of seniors at the bar down by the beach. We hung out there to use their internet and to watch an episode of Frasier in english. Not our most exciting day. We tried to rent mountain bikes at our resort but they had put them away for the winter... it was like 20 degrees out!

Peu de gens parlent francais ou anglais ici, c'est bien je pratique mon espagnol!! Je chinoise un peu, mais j'apprends chaque jour de nouveaux mots! Je me rends compte que dès que je communique un peu avec les gens, je me sens beaucoup mieux. Et quand on se sent bien, on rencontre des gens bien qui nous font du bien!!

tentative de mettre du poids à l'avant de mon vélo... infructueux.. j'ai l'impression qu'avec les suspensions, je dois mettre encore plus d'énergie pour avancer.. me sens trop lourde à porter!! Je réfléchis à la prudence... les gens ont peur de beaucoup de choses et souvent me mettent en garde... mais cela tend à attiser mes peurs... et attirer les mauvaises ondes! c'est le mauvais oeil!!

Ma nuit a été chaotique... beaucoup de rêves, les émotions du jour précédent sont toutes ressorties pendant la nuit... approcher mes angoisses me rend plus émotive, je me réveille en larmes... Je me rends compte que j'ai beaucoup de chance car toutes les personnes que j'ai rencontrés se sont occupés de moi avec une gentillesse incroyable... et moi j'ai l'impression de faire tout et n'importe quoi. Je me suis totalement oubliée dans ce ...

... de ces marais... le paradis se transforme en piège... mes bonnes vieilles angoisses de l'obscurité resurgissent plus forte que jamais... je roule, je roule, je roule... je ne sens plus mon corps... j'en pleure... encore 1 heure de route et je parviens enfin à un camping... il est 21h et j'ai roulé toute la journée... je n'en peux plus... je m'écroule après avoir bu une bière et monté la tente...

Normally you wake up on a beach because of the warm morning sun. Not in Peniscola. Not in Peniscola. I woke up because some absolutely butters spanish chick was shouting at me. Honestly, its just rude. Soon the other guys woke up and were trying to stop the two girls getting on the Jetski. Then they stole one of Ollys biscuits ...

... ourseves to sleep. BIG mistake. Had we learnt nothing from Barcalona. Olly woke us up in the night because onece again we had been robbed (except me). Alex lost his phone, passsport and for some reason a wind up torch. Olly lost the Charger for his Camera.... which he didnt need...... because someone else robbed that in Barca. Then something pretty disturbing/hilarious happened whilst Alex was searching through his stuff ...

... toilet at the restuarant, and then she did a poo. Usually she gets mummy or daddy to wipe her bum, but this time she couldn't shout for them, and just for fun I didn't get them for her, so she wiped her own bum, and when she was getting undressed in her room, she has poo all over her undies!! My favorite ride was the tutuki splash, or maybe a ride me and daddy went on, it span round as well as the little seats we were in spinning!!
