Today we visited Lake Bistineau State Park in Shreveport. It was quite a sight. All the trees were under water. We bought granola bars and gatorades. It costed $15. We filled up the tank for $34.85. We stayed the night in a hotel costing $129.00. Next its off to Mississippi.

Arrived home mid-afternoon. Glad on the one hand, but sad to leave the open road. There is still so much to see and experience. The journey is not completely over... I bought a car in Miles City, Montana, and will fly up there next Wednesday and drive it home. I consider that part of this trip and open to some adventures of its own. We'll see.

... gracious to us; he showed us through the entire museum (which is mostly outside), talked about where some of the different aircraft came from, some details on the repairs and refurbishment of some of them. He took us into the small museum building where there were many displays of airplane models, and parts of airplanes (gunsights, missles, etc.). As Jack described it, they had more aircraft than they could deal with. One of these was an F-102 that ...
