... Hotel is no hidden gem, it's an all powerful, mighty rare diamond and seeing it is an experience in itself. Guards dressed as sultans line the driveway leading up to the Raffles experience and you can't help but feel like royalty as they greet you in their perfectly pressed white tunics with shining gold buttons and red turbans. I instantly regretted wearing my fake Chanel pearls.

The second lady ran up to me and spoke to me in Mandarin, holding up a packet of something in her hand. When I said "Sorry, I don't understand Mandarin" she said "Oh! Sorry, sorry ah" and ran off. There was no way they could've though I worked in either of these supermarkets -- surely not with my shorts, ...

In conclusion, today was a knowledge boost for me as I, not just a hospitality student, but also as a Singaporean, learned about the heritage and culture of Singapore. I also now more deeply understand how closely related Heritage tourism and Wellness tourism is even though they're two different things. ...
