There's a lot to do today so we set off at the relatively early time of 10.30 and crossed the road towards Fort Canning Park which, as its name implies is a park right in the centre of the city. It is on high ground and in days gone by, before the numerous sky scrapers were built, it commanded a view across the City to the harbour and housed the colony's first light house which was operational right up until the start of the Second World War. ...
