We had the biggest culture shock that I think I have ever experienced when we landed at Singapore airport on route to Bangkok.

We left India from Trivundrum airport with Silk Air and had a very quick 4 1/2 hour flight departing at 22.30. So with very little sleep we got to Singapore where we had arranged to spend the day in order to get Issy's braces adjusted at a dentist that we had organised via Internet.

Back at the Old Town Guesthouse in Phuket I had met a really nice couple from Singapore, Naish & a nameless girlfriend.
