There are bicycles chained to just about every available pole or railing and we were really amused to see a three storey bicycle garage near central train station (just like a three storey car park) which is supposed to hold 10,000 bikes. The central city is surrounded by a series of canals, built first to drain the swamp and provide for defense and then to expand the buildable area. ... hour. We then headed into Delft, walked along the canals, through the market and saw a scary man with a carousel music thing and a horse, he reminded me of the child catcher from chitty chitty bang bang.
Now on the camp site and a brew is on the go.

So not dead, ferry ok, cuppa, food, walk of the camp site then bed.

... Bikes run this country! I mean I knew that biking was a serious deal in the Netherlands but man they weren't kidding. It's so wierd to see cars yielding for bikes, and having to wait for the street to clear from bikes before crossing.

Apparently depending on the city, a city will have a day of the week where everything will close like at around 9pm which is later than usual, but in return it will open their shops later on another day of the week. Well in Delft it ...
