There are many upscale shops and restaurants located within close proximity and I found it very safe to walk around downtown Ipanema after dark. Copacobana did not seem nearly as safe as Ipanema so I always traveled by taxi in Copacobana after dark. <br>

The wedding was in a town called Niteroi which overlooks Rio. It was a small and cozy event. The bride and groom looked great and very happy.
