    ... the Black Sea. Unfortunately, I can't manage fish if it's not filleted. All that skin and the tail … this one didn't have its head, at least. Discovered that mackerel is about as bland as you can get, and it's really bony too. Dessert was three plums and a peach (which is what I plan to call my next novel).

    It's nearly 10:30 now, and I'd really like to read my book. But the idea of keeping my eyes open for another ten minutes seems utterly ...

    ... that became smaller but we fortunately had a local pilot in the form of a bus. The driver knew the route and road well. At one point he inexplicably slowed to <40kph. The he swerved across to the left. We copied him as he was avoiding barely discernible subsidences. So we continued – speeding up and slowing down when he did – until there was a large truck in front. Watching him overtake the truck was terrifying. Both vehicles swayed ...

    ... On my way back to the safe distance from all the jellyfish I saw couple more- small ones, but I already knew I was done swimming. Random fact- I always thought that when you touch a jellyfish it feels more like a.... jelly?? Not like a fish o.O

    The plan for the rest of the night was walking around and a dinner in Sozopol. Nice town, full of tourists and souvenir shops. I got pizza, which wasn't the best choice ...

    We left Plovdiv for a long day on the bus to the city of Nesebar on the Black Sea. After a two hour drive we arrived in Stefan's hometown of Kazanlak in the Valley of the Roses. Here they manufacture 90% of the world's rose oil. The roses were done blooming, but we passed FIELDS of sunflowers and lavender. Gorgeous!! Also a couple of wagons pulled by horses with pom poms. Roma people. In Kazanlak we went to the Thracian Museum and then visited two Thracian tombs. One ...
