We are having lunch at an open air restaurant on the street. As I am eating lunch I realize that a woman is carrying all of these huge knives into the street and juggling them to entertain traffic that is waiting at a red light. Just before the light turns green she stops, takes a bow and goes car to car to accept donations. It appeared, that she is probably doing quite well financially, based upon the number of donations she was receiving every 5 minutes.

... im Dschungel. Ich habe geholfen Baeume zu pflanzen das Gelaende zu saeubern und Tiere zu fuettern. Wir sind ab und zu nochmal in den Dschungel und habe dort gebadet und gegrillt. Was fuer ein anderes Leben, als in Manaus. Dies alles sind sehr positive Erfahrungen in Brasilien die ich nicht vergessen werde! Auch habe ich bisher keinerlei Gewalt mehr in Brasilien erlebt.

Weiter gehts nach Alter do Chao - Santarem. der Karibik des Amazonas!
