... Marjorie's grave right away. The deer figures are very distinctive, in honor of her Pulitzer-prize winning novel, The Yearling, of course. The inscription was written by her second husband, Norton Baskin: "Through her writing she endeared herself to the people of the world."

After dinner, another movie night, this time "Cross Creek." We had been warned by our guide at Cross Creek that the film was not very true to the book. Boy, was that the truth! There was little from the book other than the title and some main characters. Once I decided to just let it stand on its own, I enjoyed it pretty much. Won't need to see it again, however!
