Well, we get to O'hare and there is a long line. So, when I am checking my bag in, they can't get my bag to Buenos Aires, the computer system won't let them, because it's a different day or something. So after much trying, they said I will have to leave the terminal and pick up my bag, go to the counter for the airline and get tickets and check my bag!
Horrible.
The flight to Mexico City was ...
... chiudesse!!
... We walked into Giggling Marlin first. It was pretty empty aside from a couple other groups, but the "entertainment" was still full force. There were MC's leading drinking and various games as well as dance routines being perfomed by employees. We had a drink, laughed at the guys they made dance on the bar and left. We were there maybe half an hour or so? Oh, one bad thing was the bartenders didn't give the right ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico travelnfood... maintain control of the situation, resisting the urge to bolt to the surface which would have resulted in decompression sickness (not nice). My divemaster saw I was in a little trouble but there was nothing I could do except suck in the air as hard as I could on my regulator to get it into my lungs. Eventually we worked our way up to the surface, relief! That was a scarey dive. So the big day ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico chrissmith300... cars selling gum and bootleg CDs. If you know where you want to go, the metro is the best way to get there. We used it everyday without any problems, and it saved us a lot of time and money. We visited many museums, the campus of UNAM, which is the oldest university in the Americas, and a few of the suburbs. We also took a tourist bus around. This was a good way to see most ...
Mexico City, Mexico btb387... Captain Alex and his first mate Oscar, we headed out for a five hour tour the next morning. A five hour tour. Unfortunately there was no Ginger or Mary Ann to accompany us on this fishing trip, but nevertheless, we fished our balls off, if that's even possible. At last count, there may have been twenty-five fish pulled in total, mostly yellowtail and a few barracuda looking *******s called bonita fish. After five hours of roaming around aimlessly, we ...
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California, Mexico cubswin2k5We woke up early this morning and Keith gave us a ride to the airport, which was very cool of him considering we left around 5:20am. We caught our flight from San Diego to Phoenix, although we tried to give up our seats for two round trip tickets within the continental US (they had overbooked the flight). Alas, it was not to be, and we flew in to Phoenix on our original flight, and then caught our flight to Cabo San Jose. I looked down while we were ...
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico checky... Walmart (as we have to supply own dishes and food during our stay in the Convent), an american bookstore and a mobile phone charger (mine is broken and will not work) and of course we have found an internet cafe, yeah!! so all in all we have achieved alot. At the moment it is raining so lets hope it stops before we go and get the metro. The weather here is just ...
Mexico City, Mexico gemmadavies2000... a few young things like ourselves, though half as weighted down as we are. Outside, the scenery blurs by brown and dry, coloured by sea and the watered gardens and manicured lawns of the $250 a night hotels. The driver gives us a few recommendations for camping beaches, and we pick a spot halfway to San Jose, jumping off the bus in front on the Twin Dolphin Resort.
At the end of a winding driveway we approach the hotel's outdoor lobby, where the bellhops and desk ...
