    The campsite was very good but because it is surrounded by flooded rice fields and salt marsh it was plagued by mosquitos. We did get too many bites but they are annoying!

    One thing we did do on the way to Eucaliptus beach was give Florance a much needed wash. We had filled up with fuel and got a deal on an automated car wash. With hindsight it was a bit of a gamble, but she came out clean and undamaged.

    It was a long walk into town and we were very surprised afterwards to see how far we had come! You don't tend to notice as much when you are chatting away. We all agreed a taxi back was the better option. We're looking forward to exploring Barcelona tomorrow.

In March 2011 construction was completed at a cost of £130m but other than transporting a football team to San Sebastien earlier this year, has not operated. There was even talk of digging up the runway and abandoning it altogether. However, it appears that come September Ryanair will be using it from Stansted and Bristol. I hope this doesn't open the floodgates of incoming tourists and spoil this relatively un-developed coastline. ...
