... We went to Cahuita one day and walked around there national park there. And we were robbed by monkeys on our walk. First two came and looked really cute blocking our path then some more surrounded trotter and I and then they began to climb on us. I had a monkey right next to my head. So a nice place - almost totally touristy but Santa Elena has travelers & all the US bus tours seemed to be in one big hotel out of the way. Costa Rica has clearly sold its soul to US bus tours and charges them appropriately - shame they pay so easily for overpriced tours & cant use their initiative to get places on their own.
