News from the cloud forest...
... got to our cabin, set down our bags, and looked out the window. At that moment, a beautiful coati came out of the bushes and stopped to stare at us before walking up into the nearby tree. We felt like we were the new animals in the zoo! (See coati picture below. Remember reading about the coaties in our book? They are similar to raccoons.)
Today was full of more nature walks. The naturalists (people who study plants, animals and nature) who work here taught us ...
Update
So we arrived yesterday to find that we are allowed very little time on the computers here... Haha our eletricity usage is restricted period. But all is well, we are staying very busy with many different activities. I wont update this again until I get home and then I'll write you a nice little story of each day's individual activities. As of right now though I'm hoping someone is showing my kids this ...
Adrenalinrush i regnskogen
... der man i stedet for aa bare henge opp ned med beina i lufta naa ogsa ble festet til beina. Ut med henda i lufta, og vips saa kunne man leke at man var Clark Kent som suste gjennom skogen. Meget bra! Det var ogsaa ganske saa morsomt hvis man var foerst ut noen ganger, slik at man kunne staa aa hoere paa de ulike skrikene til de andre naar de satte avgaarde. Mye rare jungelbroel, for aa si det mildt.
Etter en hektisk og aktiv dag var det deilig aa komme tilbake ...
A Day in the LIfe
... sea bass, squash, a salad of tomato and farmer’s cheese with delicious coconut custard with caramel sauce for dessert. We never did get into the hot springs pools although they looked quite inviting, we ran out energy and time. We were exhausted by the time dinner was done and the ½ mile plus walk to the pools along a not well lit at path didn’t sound as good as bed so we left the pools to those younger and more adventurous.
