    ... every once in a while as it drops another piece of glacial ice.

    Looking closely at Tronador,I see it is like a Xmas cake,its fruit body rich and brown and its top layer pure white like royal icing sugar just waiting for a fork to take a slice of its richness. Further in the boggy field I notice tumbling brooks straight out of the “Sound of Music” opening scene, gurgling and burping merrily along their crystal clear water revealing another garden ...

    During the morning I went along the lake.
    I ate lunch in the veeterian restaurant, now I wait till 17:00 when I{ll go to the bus station to take the bus to BA

    The journey from El Chalten was the longest we've done, 4 hrs to El Calafate and 5hrs in bus station making up our packed lunches and trying to pass time! As it's just coming out of winter the road we needed to take was closed so we had to take a 28hr bus that went down to Rio Gallagos and then up east coast when we wanted to go west but after 36hrs we got there :-) with bonus of travelling over Andes!! Bariloche was first place weather was not ...

    ... They also love something called dulce de leche here in Argentina... Which is pretty much condensed milk caramel! A lot of the chocolates had that in it, but the Argentines literally have it for breakfast and will spread it on anything!!! The drive was lovely and the views spectacular! Lots of photos, wows and laughs! That evening we went to a famous Parilla near to the hostel! It was the best steak I have ever had!! We shared a serving ...

    ... disappointed by a ghost town and a pretty lame hippy market. Thankfully the drive was scenic, though the locals driving was rather alarming at times! After a pleasant few days among the lakes and a review of the weather forecast, I've decided to move on again swiftly, so back into Chile I go. Next stop is Pucon, with hopefully more fun in store.
