... that looked like someone had started to lay down the boards but then decided against it. From the halfway point you could see the entire forest surrounded by enormous hills and mountains. I remember seeing a billboard like sign that showed certain ski slopes on the mountain. When we reached the top it was a little less than expected. The gondola building was also a restaurant but they would not let you in unless you had a ticket. The trip down was easier than the trip ...

Tonight we will hit the chocolate shops, which are prolific here because tomorrow we start early with a bus journey to Puerto Varas, Chile.

... up hiking about 10km through some beautiful country and past some gorgeous lakes but by the time i got back to the hotel where the buses ran from i was feeling fairly weak! I jumped on the bus and scored a seat but as we travelled along and the bus got fuller a fuller there was a little old lady who hopped on an squeezed through and ended up next to me. She kept looking at me so in the end i offered her my seat and stood up. I ran into Andy and Andrew again on the way home ...
