... wooden lodge of a hostel where the owner had named the cosy quarters after his beloved hound that was with him while he built the hostel from scratch, was a key attraction for the guests but died in 95. ... recently, Jaclyn made me watch one of those chick flicks, which she tends to do from time to time, called Eat, Pray, Love (starring Julia Roberts). Bariloche kind of reminded me of that, because: we ate lots of chocolate, we loved the landscapes (and each other of course) and instead of choosing to pray we just indulged some more in the eating part again, with steak, fondue and even more chocolate forming the main part of our diet.

... a beach mixed with some loose gravel, complete with 30 degree heat. We thought we had made it to the top but were disappointed to realize it was a false summit and we had another 500m meters to climb. The view was less than spectacular from the top due to the presence of ash in the air but the cold beer from the restaurant made this climb worth it. Needless to say, we took the chairlift down. More to come...

... by massive mountains and the water was a light cloudy blue colour. It was pretty impressive. Dad and I climbed a tree but mostly we just hung out taking in the views with nobody else there. Mum thought it was magic and kept talking about good energy. I am just thinking that this is an easy way to travel when my horse, for a reason known only to him, breaks into an unexpected trot.
These are sure footed horses. We cross rocky ground, up and down river banks with many crossings, climbing all the way until we reach a small opening in the trees...........
