... David Beckham, Lady Di and Margaret Thatcher. He told us his horses were very tranquil and it was not a competition to get to our destination first. I'm not sure he had told the horses this as they constantly jostled each other for pole position as we trekked. My horse was called Saddam Hussein and Greg's was called Leonardo di Caprio. I'm not sure in what conditions they were being kept, but it did seem a bit of a cowboy outfit. We were not given hard hats to wear and were led by a ...

We arrived into Banos about 6am and went straight to the hostel for a sleep. Banos is a sort of an adventure style town where you can do things like white water rafting, cycling, zip-lining, bungee jumping etc. In the afternoon we decided to head up to a place called 'La casa del Arbol’. At first we tried to rent quad bikes but were being charged something like $40 per hour. It was daylight robbery. This one lad was trying to get us to rent a jeep for $75 ...

After a quick freshen up I caught up with Helen and we made our way to the bus stop for our journey to ...

... hot!). But we headed off to Rio Verde, an amazing walk to a beautiful waterfall instead. It was really spectacular and you can walk right up behind them and feel the huge pressure of the falls. It was cool. We got absolutely drenched... so much for not getting wet while Harry was sick! We then hired an ATV and after stalling many times, driving the wrong way down one-way streets and getting lost in a town with only 5 blocks, we headed ...

... into town to take advantage of some happy hour drinks and sink a few cocktails at one restaurant before heading to another who had real cheap daiquiris, 2 for $5. After a few hours of people watching as we drank, we go to one of the street vendors and grab a hamburger for $2 each. One of the best takeaway burgers I've had, and for $2, winner. We grab two each they are so good. We grab some fruit, cheap rip off peanut m&ms called Rocklets and water and head back to the hostel. We ...
