... Around 6:00pm the hot springs open up for the evening session so we headed through town directed by the waterfall that is apparently just above the pools. Along the way there was yet more smoke erupting from the volcano. Just before the hot springs there is about 15 stalls all selling taffy and sugarcane stacks. ... we jumped into the van and where driven to the waterfall which gave us some time to get introduced to everyone. We were an amazing group including Vicky from Scotland, Grace from England, Jack from AUS, Matt from NZ and last but not least Jannik from Hamburg. ... the side of buildings as we picked up passengers in small towns. Walking from the bus station we found a place to stay at Hotel Soleil. Large rooms, quiet with sporadic hot water. At $ 12.25 a person it is a good find. Having only eaten granola bars early in the morning our stomachs pulled us in the direction of food. In the Mercado Central we found lunch for $2.50. For $25USD we were transported a bit out of town to the gorge where we got to do a zip line straight down between the rocks, walk across a bouncy swing bridge, scale the dace of the gorge, and then do another zip line back to just below where we started.
