      ... chair shop on the way so spent quite a bit of time there before a rather indifferent but alternative lunch with a German twist. I imagine it caters for the hoards of Dutch and German occupants of the surrounding flats and camps. Quite glad to leave as far too near ...

      Hello...we're back!

      Yes, we were here once before last fall. Lars and I booked a two week stay in late September. It was meant to be a healthy gift to each other in celebration of our first wedding anniversary and our birthday with are only a few days apart.

      If you look back I think you find an entry around that time.

      Unfortunately we had to leave for business reasons after only one week so we "banked" the second week to use in 2015. ...

      ... in compensation the weather has turned nice and with some friends I drove up into the mountains to do a walk along a headland and past some windmills and it was warm enough for even the butterflies to come out. I have also been wobbling my way around on the motorbike and even used it to take Treacle to a local nature reserve, unfortunately to get anywhere I have to go on a fairly narrow but busy main road and that isn't much fun.

      ... to add interest, and it is lined with rather uninspiring chalets and blocks of flats. There are no flowers, birds, butterflies or trees to look at. Getting away from the area is hard because dogs are not allowed on the buses in Spain, so either I risk taking the large motorhome up narrow mountain roads or I wobble off somewhere on the motorbike. I would probably leave this site early if I could but at the moment I am waiting to see if my boiler ...

      ... which go along the length of the mar menor and we followed the path all the way to the end. There was a windmill type of building and flamingos in the mud flats. Its a nice place and the mud there is supposed to have healing properties so in the summer the Spanish people cover themselves in it and walk around. I did it once when we visited there years ago but it smells horrible!! The weather was perfect and the water looked very clear and inviting but it was ...
