... After arriving at the hotel we freshened up and had an early evening walking tour which ended in Piazza San Marco. We stopped at one of the super expensive cafes around the piazza and were treated to a Venetian institution by our Tour Director, a Bellini. A Bellini is a mixture of Prosecco sparkling wine and peach puree. Very nice.
Afterwards we took private water taxis along the Grand Canal for a night tour to see the lights. This place is wonderful. ...
