... some beautiful and some that were so gaudy, you wonder who would buy them.

After buying some small bits we caught the water boat to Burano. This island is famous for its lace work and coloured houses. The island is thought to have been settled by the Romans in the 6th century. The island and it's lace makers became famous when Leonardo da Vinci purchased a piece of lace for the main alter of the Duomo di Milano and it was soon exported ...

... But we did scout out the cruise terminal area as we passed by it.

It's now 4pm, we've been on the go all day and haven't eaten since breakfast. Yep, we found another pizza joint for dinner as our last dinner in Venice.

Tomorrow we head for the ship, first stop is Dubrovnik, Croatia.

I suspect blogging will become sparse from this point on as wifi will be tougher to find.
