... nice and gave Chris free cigarettes (this may or may not have had something to do with his gay jeans). It started to rain and thunderstorm whilst we were at the bar so we ran back to our hotel. On the way we ran under the cover of a restaurant and met the Italian owner, who talked our ears off. ... can't help the **** weather.

We are staying in a cute little house tucked away behind the shops and restaurants so we could not have asked for a more convenient spot.
Travelling days are very disjointed at times so we hadn't had any lunch or dinner apart from a baguette and croissant we bought before leaving Nice so....the girls noticed a Gelato shop and made a bee line for that. We had decided we would just head off to bed but all the restaurants were just closing ...

... problem, then we are doing very well !!!! We have been pretty lucky thus far with the Italy flights, as French air traffic controllers decided to strike yesterday - and although we do not fly into France - we do fly over it. Some EasyJet flights have been cancelled today, but (fortunately) - not ours. And we will get into Venice late this evening - water taxi awaiting us at Venice Marco Polo airport, so hope water travel will be faster than road ! ...

... Accademia Bridge, we wandered across the Accademia and back to St Marks.
