... completely. To cool off a bit, we picked up a limoncito slushie from Alberto's, and hiked the 385 steps down the to the train station on the south side of town. For the first time our timing worked out perfectly and a train to Vernazza arrived within a couple minutes. We spent the rest of the afternoon sampling various local beers from different shops in Vernazza, eventually enjoying a summer ale on the breakwater while people watching. our hotel is the. PALACE GRANDE, WHICH IT IS. High on a mountain, filled w antiques and looking at t he snow covered Swiss Alps.
And again we are exhausted from so much walking.

There are just too many great views to be concise. From the mountains to the lagoon to the Doge's courtyard it was all wonderful.
