    ... with Seb...having grown up here he seemingly knows everyone and takes time to chat,however banally, with everyone and says hello to everyone.     ... marathon so we did this meal twice, the first day eating rosit de city (roast lamb). I still have a very fast metabolism but even I woke up on Monday morning still full of food and having to face the big family do just a few hours later! I jest! The atmosphere was wonderful and I was made to feel extremely welcome in their home, albeit with my limited Catalan/spanish.     Almost exactly thirty years ago my parents enjoyed a week on the island of Mallorca. They both remember it fondly, especially because it snowed! The other night, Mum pulled up the ancient slide projector screen and we snuggled down for a slide show of their holiday snaps.     ... which you can take if you want to vist Sóller main town. We ambled around, had a coffee, looked round the shops, had some lunch at Bistro El Moll and nearly did some sunbathing on the beach but decided against it as Simon doesn't really like a noisy beach front. The name Sóller derives from the arabic "suliar" - golden valley - as the area is famous for its orange groves.
