Had a lovely breakfast at 8am this morning. There is a cook at the school in the morning who can make you eggs and toast. After that we went to say good morning to the kids in the classes.They all look very cute and smart in their school uniforms.We went in to a couple of different classes starting from as little as age 3,5 and they all learn to read! ... the biggest of all nightmares. The pain started to take my breath away. I said to Gent I had to go, I had to go and lie down. I quickly went into my translator on my phone and wrote "kidney stone" and translated it to Hindi. I saved it so I could show it to someone if the worst were to happen. ... double beef patty, bacon, egg, cheese, salad and a side of chips. The pair of us were in a right mess afterwards; we had to rest for at least an hour after finishing and when we decided to go and walk along the beach we felt too full and had to go lie on our bed in the foetal position until the pain went away. While in Anjuna I visited:
- Calangute / Baga (yuk.)
- Old Goa (mildly interesting)
- Paradise beach (a nice drive to a beautiful & empty beach, too quiet for me though)
- Margao (city. dirty.)
- Dudseghar waterfalls (a good day trip, more spectacular in monsoon season or just after I think)
- Aguarda fort, it was OK. Nice ride ...
... and spent some time getting to know them. Its nice that we have been able to start meeting people on their travels and sharing stories.
From Hampi we travelled to Goa for some well earned chill out time before we leave India for Thailand on the 16th. Goa is stunning and our hotel is fab. We booked into a fancy place the best we have stayed in so far as a bit of a treat. We intend to just chill out here either at the hotel pool, or the beach. We ...
