... Austin, we were able to stay with my parents for a few months and help them fix up their house in the country while we finished tying up some loose ends. We had a great time with our family, attending the children’s school events, watching the newest members of our family grow up too quickly, and just get to know our family a little bit better. It was a wonderful time and I am really glad we decided to take that time to spend with them.

... saw a Pelican which was beautiful. O'Regan wanted to get his photo with it and wondered how close he could get - fairly close before Mr Pelican warned him not to come any closer. We also saw a lone Sea Lion who entertained us and lots of others for a while. There also appeared to be a yachting competition going on. Up in the sky we noticed a plane pulling a sign that read '... will you marry me ...' - so very valentines.

... ticked a few places of our bucket lists, caught up with old friends and made new ones, ate lots of delicious and not so healthy foods, and finally, we didn't kill each other on the 7.5 week trip. I had a great time travelling with my brother and it was great to be able to share so many fabulous experiences with him. Favorite ride would have been the mummy and also transformers was good too :) It's amazing to see what they can do with 4d rides... We were the biggest kids on the day and was perfect to start our holiday together this way. Straight to bed to get up and go to the beaches. ...
... a Staff badge and able to visit the Speaker Ready room, as well as visit the staff canteen where I spent one very enjoyable lunch comparing notes with 4 Secret Service officers. (Yes, the ear pieces do itch after a while, and the suits are bulky for a reason!) But I also had a glimpse into the enormous amount of work that goes into organising the conference.
