... with a battery behind including watches and hearing aids) we were off.

First we saw the molasses wells and got to taste some molasses - reminded me of licorice, Lotte couldn't quite decide if she liked it. Then we saw the distillery, followed by the bond store where they kept their special barrels for special rums, and we also had a peek at their bottling plant (again for special rums, their Bundy original rum got bottled elsewhere as demand far outstripped ...

The rest of the afternoon was spent breaking down and cleaning up so we are ready to go in the morning. After all the hard ...

      SURFS UP!!!
Yep hit the waves today and went to Groms Surf School for some lessons. Agnes Waters is supposed to be one of the best locations in QLD (if you believe the brochure) for surf.
We got kitted up and then hit the beach for some intesive lessons.
We were a bit worried about Callum and if he was too young to handle a board, ...

Today was moving day and we took a relatively short journey north to Bargara - a beachside town close to Bundaberg. Not surprisingly we passed by a lot of sugar cane fields on the way - the main ingredient for Bundy rum. Setting up camp went well today apart from a slight issue where the gas connector somehow got itself stuck under the sink - that added about half an hour to ...
