... Florence to Pompeii, past the ugly Naples, and finally finding our accommodation through the crazy streets and drivers of the region. We all had an interesting time exploring the ruins of Pompeii, appreciating the wonders of modern archaeology and the infrastructure of 69AD. The girls weren't keen on the roaming wild dogs that signs advised to avoid contact with, but which keenly followed anyone they encountered.

This all seemed a bit strange, but my arguement was that his kid was in the car, so i doubt he is going to shoot us!

... costs a third of the price. So the way I see it is that I waste a day travelling but gain nearly two days budget. For the rest of the day I headed out to explore Phuket and see what it has to offer. I took a walk along the old part of town and walked around several temples. None of them were that impressive but it still was a really nice walk.
