... fantastic first session....it's really a treat to train in the high humidity!
After training I met up with some English and Aussie blokes from the gym and we ate some home cooking style thai food at Moma's restaurant...good healthy meal for around $4 cdn (gatorade, rice with veggies and chicken and a big plate of greens as well)....now i think it's time for a nap!
... new facets to Joe (more on this in tomorrow’s entry).
My birthday began with a start. I woke up late, fifteen minutes before my spa day was to begin. My toes needed some work after five weeks of hiking and nature so a pedicure was in order. Joe would join me an hour and a half later for a body scrub and massage. He got one too; he didn’t do my treatment…
The Banyan Tree Spa was beyond lovely. It began to rain softly during our massages in another outdoor ...
... swam with the fishes, you could swim deep down or you could just paddle along the surface. But the view was impressive, the colors were so vibrant and beautiful and the fish would literally swim in your face. It was awesome.
We loaded back up onto the boat and went to "The Beach"...basically we went and swam around on the beach that they film the beach on. It was such a cool experience and I took a lot of pictures as we played around. Soon after we headed over to Phi ...
We've been in Thailand for 3 days now, having a lovely time. Day 1- After a Roti breakfast in Langkawi, we caught a 1 hour Ferry to Thailand, cleared customs, got their annoying visa (only 15 days for overland crossings) and then got a Rot So Tan (or something like that), a ute with a cage full of us poor people on the back, into Satun where we slept for the night. Satun is a quiet place, with very few foreigners in sight. We had a Pork, egg and Rice (+ a lot of chili dish) from On ...
Kathu, Phuket, Thailand jamish... triple the price we were paying! We were in Phuket for 'Songkran' Festival which is Thai New Year and lasts for 3 days. The main event was the first day, which involves everyone soaking each other all day! We stood by the side of the road and joined in with the locals throwing water at everyone that passed by, really good fun. Although, we didn't realise that celebrations start early and went ...
Phuket, Thailand mattbradley84Bridget writes We have just watched a home made movie of our month in Thailand and it only lasted 58 minutes!!! If only it could capture everything, especially taste - as of the wonderful red and yellow curries, and smell - including the garlands that we bought whilst waiting at the traffic lights, to hang up in the car for good luck! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Phuket with Annie and Liam, enjoying the luxuries of ...
Phuket, Thailand pandb... of too many umbrellas (beach bench)! We reached Kok Chang Safari for elephant trekking in less than an hour! It was the highlight of the day, we booked the 1-hour elephant trekking (Adult: 1000THB, Child: 500THB) and all of us enjoyed so much! Fortunately, it only started to drizzle at the end of our ride! Pity the family that just got up the elephants, it was raining cats and dogs! However, the rain stopped pretty fast, then Mr Charlee drove us ...

... Pole. On a stripper's pole. Heh. Anyway, There was water everywhere, the boat was lurching so hard. Then suddenly the boat leaned very precariously to one side, the people that were sitting on the other side were thrown down from there seats, everyone else then tried to balance out the boat, I kept thinking that this dingy **** little boat was going to be my watery grave - on my birthday no less - but I held on to that strippers pole for dear life. When it seemed like it could have ...
Koh Phi Phi, Thailand shanemilliJust arrived at the bungalow... It's nice. Too nice actually! I'm supposed to be roughing it this trip. Plus it's ridiculously expensive at 566 USD a month. They should throw in a naked housekeeper for that price... I'm moving to a sweat-stinking mosquito-infested shared room at the gym when ...
