Up very early this morning for our drive day. It's pretty overcast so our good run of nice weather and the mini-summer we've had in Italy after the cold of Switzerland and rain in Paris might just be ending. Our last experience of Rome traffic wasn't so bad, but it has been absolute chaos of an even more extreme level than Paris most of the time. With a short mileage to
cover today, we would make the most of it and visit Verona. Our fist
stop was a Harley Davidson dealer on the outskirts of the town. It
was a pretty big dealership with plenty of Harley branded bits –
not just bikes but barbecues, chairs and all sorts of expensive stuff
for the enthusiast. It began to rain a bit as we rode away into the

gates and another bar or two. At the end of a lovely day, we hiked
back to the hotel and sat on the roof top watching the sun drop in
the sky while drinking Prosecco. Our evening meal was in the pizza
restaurant near the hotel again. Unfortunately the friendly waiter
was not there again.
Having waited ten years
to see the Italian lakes, we were not disappointed. What a wonderful
place.
