We've left Lourmarin with some sorrow, but soon perked up when we got into the Alps. It's been a perfect day, the trees are turning Autumn colours and although it's 26 degrees there's snow on the high tops. Briancon has this amazing fort built to keep the Italians out many years ago. Tomorrow we go over the mountain to Italy toward ...

... as I need to when we have to part ways at the end of our trip. It kind of makes the separation a little more bearable. When Amy and Jono got home around 8pm, they brought with them the best Japanese takeout if ever tasted. So much sushi and sashimi, I almost feel sick from over eating! We spent the night watching their favourite TV series before getting an early night- ready for our road trip to start tomorrow. Our first stop is Saint Tropez! Bring it on! ...

The French are extremely laid back yet very helpful too. It was nice to meet some of the people that will be a part of Amy and Jono's lives over here, at least I'll be able to put a few faces to names when she talks about them and what they've been up ...

... front of the TV before hitting the sack for some more R&R. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I googled a gym that is close by so with any luck should get in a good training session tomorrow (although it doesn't open until 9am- can you believe it!) Amy is going to fit right into this French lifestyle :) Tomorrow we are going to sort out some more of the apartment, especially her wardrobe and pantry so she can feel a little settled before we head off on our road trip on Monday. Wa ...
