CC Blooms ,Phuket paradise
This hotel is wonderful. Big,clean rooms with all the special touches...fresh orchids daily and complimentary water. The mini bar is one of the best stocked I have seen.More importantly the host "Skip" is delightful, nothing is a bother to him. His staff are friendly and warm and go out of their way to assist your every requirement. A paradise away from the chaos and crowds of Patong. The meals from their cafe are well priced and tasty. The view of the ocean from up here on the mountain is spectacular. The bar is open till the wee small hours for patrons needing a nightcap after returning from a big night out.
They have free internet use and a well stocked library of books and dvds to borrow in your "down time"
Any tours or shows you wish to see, can be booked on site. After staying at a few large resxorts on this trip it was great to come to a place where they make you feel truly welcome.
I know I will be back again.
A very long walk!
As part of our holiday i wanted to stay some where a litlle secluded away from the hussle and bustle of Phuket yet close enough to enjoy the nightlife etc. We stayed in Kata/Karon beaches at CC Blooms. The beach was beautiful and far enough away from Patong (about a 15 minute tuk tuk). We found CC Blooms on the internet and the pictures were amazing and they seemed to run a professional and very romantic holiday destination! We arrived and although the pool and setting were beautiful it is a good 10-15 minute walk away from anything and the 80 degree hill which they failed to mention basically means if you want to go anywhere without paying for a tuk tuk ride home it is near impossible.. They do however provide a ride to near beaches, it's just hard getting back for a quick change after being at the beach! The tuk tuk drivers charge more just to get you up the hill!. Our room was clean except for ALOT of gecko's and mosquito's that came in at night also a few cocroaches! The hot water in the shower lasted approx 2 minutes. My husband also hired a motorbike which we informed them he had never riden one, and they were a little to busy to give a lesson so he had an accident 3 seconds he got on! With a deeply cut knee and a bruised ego we received the 1000BHT bill 5 minutes later! So much for duty of care. We also found that they had a few staffing issues going on which they openly discussed while we were eating the worst buffet breakfast in Phuket.
This hotel is good if you like long and big hilly walks home, don't want to get anywhere or be close to the even quieter beaches, don't really want a lovely breakfast, and would like to be involved in the "problems with staff" at the hotel! I would recommend you stay a little closer to the beach!
A Hidden Treasure
Just returned from a trip to Phuket and had our bookings made online for our flights as well as accommodation. With the plethora of hotels to choose from in Phuket, making our choice was pretty confusing and daunting. But let us assure you that we had a great time staying at ccbloom's.
The hotel is located on a hill just off the main road. A very quiet and breezy location, away from all that noisy and busy streets/night life. A place where you can easily find some private space of your own.
The rooms were decent and clean with almost everything in good working condition. Nicely decorated and the best part was just relaxing on the deck overlooking the swimming pool and enjoying the lush green scenery. If you are looking for good quality time with your other half or your family, this is the place to check into.
The staff are friendly and almost always ready to assist. They'd drive you down for free to Karon and Kata beach and even pick you up when you are done (latest pick up is 10pm though). For a small fee, they'd take you to Patong. If you prefer to walk, Kata is just a stones throw away. No fuss. But if you are intending to walk back up the hill to the hotel, it is a little steep and challenging.
Lots been said earlier about this little gem so we are not going to repeat all that again which is all true.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and defintely 5/5. A BIG thumbs up!!!
-TB, Nueva York
A Rare Find!
I think the best way to give my overall impression of CC Bloom's is to say - I came for three days, and stayed for six ! Why leave Paradise when you found it?
From my first contact with the hotel for booking information they could not have been more helpful, personal and friendly. When I arrived I could see that this "ethic" was part of everyone who worked there. A friendlier staff you will not find.
It is located on a hill overlooking the ocean with the lush mountain vegetation on either side of you. You have the beauty of the ocean and mountain as you sit high on the hill with a cool refreshing breeze, relaxing in the quiet of the place. If you want to go to the beach, shopping, out for dinner, they gladly drive you "On Request" and return to bring you back. The beach, shopping and varied dining is a mere 5 minutes away by car.
The hotel itself is tremendous. If you enjoy "openness" you will find it in the lounge and dining area, which are open on four sides to allow the clean, refreshing air all around you. The pool is right there!
Being a small boutique hotel you the opportunity, if you want to, to get to know the other guests from all over the world. It was not like staying in a hotel, it was more like staying in a friends private (but large) home. When you leave, you feel you are leaving home.
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a relaxing, care free vacation.

Lovely place...great to chill out
After lengthy research we booked CC Blooms in Phuket, as the name suggests (as i found out from all knowing girlfriend) CC Blooms was Bette Midlers character in the movie "Beaches". We decided to stay there mainly because it was up in the hills behind Kata beach and looked serene...and it was cheap!. This turned out to be a wise choice as there are millions of hawkers & tailors and other salesmen outside all the beachside joints at Kata which can be very annoying..at CC Blooms, there's nobody.
Now then, straight to it, CC's is a gay friendly hotel, this translates to me as "well kept, attention to detail and friendly prompt service with no ripoffs"...The hotel is great, only ~17 rooms with most facing the valley view and some facing the pool view...it's cosy, private and well maintained...it's not the Sheraton or Club Med but they are cheap and well beyond their price in terms of quality. I wouldnt say it's a family hotel, more of a singles or couples place..purely because they respect serenity and likely a quiet time in the evenings - after 10pm if you are jumping around in the pool and making lots of noise - they will politely tell you to keep it down..if you wanted to Party, i guess you would have gone to Patong, so the rules are great. Night time visitors are permitted, but they must leave id at the bar and residents are called when they pick up their id again...all in the name of security which is great. Not to say that the place is a walk in place for outsiders (we saw none during our 5 day stay) but probably not the family type establishment - at least for the family types who are shall we say, "more bohemian" than most.
The hotel is run by 2 Hawaii'an guys - Skip and Ken, both excellent amigos who will happily let you know where to go with their 2 years of local knowledge. We wanted a spa, and were recommended a local place which was half the cost (and twice as brutal i discovered...Thai massage is akin to being tortured...except you pay for it!) as the other smelly soap places. Having said that, the guys can recommend from penny dreadful places all the way up to 5 star rock-star establishments that they have tried themselves...just depends on your level of comfort. Whilst i write this, Ken is organising our boat trip transfer to the next hotel in Krabi, as well as sorting out the shops we should visit so we dont get ripped off european visitors prices...it's all just so easy!.
The only slight drawback as many other reviewers have mentioned, is a huge hill outside the hotel which leads down to the beach, probably a 20 minute walk. Dont attempt if you have heart problems - however Nok, the hotel accountant will happily drive you down and bring you back from Kata or Karon with 5 minutes notice...you can also rent mopeds at the hotel. So essentially the hill isnt a problem as the hotel does it all for you.
The reception is in the bar, so keys are dropped off with the barman, completely securely. Rooms have a safe also but we didnt feel at all threatened. There's free wi-fi broadband throughout and 2 terminals at the bar to be used anytime. Breakfast is simple...fruits, fresh juices, muesli (continental brekkie says wise girlfriend) and as many espressos as you can drink till 11am. Dinner is nice also, but you are probably just as good in town. The bar does play some cool club tunes and chilled out music at night which is great.
I would definitely recommend this place to most people, it's small and cosy and very very friendly, families of 5 kids should probably look at club med - for everyone else you need look no further. I would come back in a second if it weren't for the fact that we have to go to see the rest of Phuket. It's cheap too...great value for money..staff are genuinely friendly and every request is responded to, quickly and efficiently but with an air of complete relaxation. If you want to learn to become a trapeze artist, do face painting and never get any culture..go to Club Med..for chilling out...go to CC's.
This one's a real find!
After plenty of research, and largely due to the positive Trip Advisor reviews, we choose CC Bloom for our stay in Phuket. We weren't disappointed.
The hotel was a lovely quiet place (low season) with a beautiful pool and restaurant area and friendly, helpful staff. It was fantastic value for money, especially as we went in the low season.
The room was very nice and spacious. there was an (almost) separate kitchen and separate bathroom. Everything was very clean and all the comforts and mod cons you could want are right there.
The place has a nice friendly and quiet feel, not like large hotel complexes but more personal and intimate. We avoided a pool-side room in case it was noisy - but it didn't look like noise would have been a problem. Our hillside room had a great view.
CC Bloom is not far from a main strip of shops/restaurants etc (10-15 min walk), but it is situated at the top of a very steep hill - the unfit, the unenergetic and older folk should not even consider walking up it - but the staff will drop you in town or the beaches whenever you like, so there was never trouble getting anywhere. It's positioned well to visit Kata and Karon (towns and beaches) and if you like walking, you can walk to both from CC Bloom.
We were very pleased with CC Bloom and would definitely stay there again. In my opinion it is a place that best suits couples who want to stay in a lovely setting, slightly away from the hustle and bustle.
CC Bloom's is exactly as beautiful as it looks on their website if not more so! The staff and management are wonderful and really make you feel part of the family during the stay. I can't reccommend this hotel enough!! The rooms are just great too - it has everything - what more can I say. 10/10.

After an extremely long and life threatening journey, we finally made it from Chang Mai to Phuket. We left Chang Mai at 7pm on the 24th and got an 8 hour bus to Bangkok, as soon as we got off the bus in Bangkok we were harassed by the locals all wanting to take us to our next destination - they are so pushy it's horrible!
