    ... trying to keep the hatred alive. Also chatted to the guy behind the bar at hotel Wyndham. He is a Bulgarian engineer who is working in hospitality to improve his English language skills, so he can get a job in IT here in Germany. Says his English isn't as good as it should be but also volunteered the fact that he speaks seven languages in all. Cologne has a lovely feel to it. More friendly than Berlin.     ... in we head over the bridge covered in padlocks to visit the cathedral. It must have been one of the few buildings to remain after Cologne was heavily bombed.

    ... have to be corrected on this trip. We are in the land of meat stuffed tubes with a child who doesn't eat tubular meat. We still had to find the girls something to eat, but they didn't know what they wanted, which makes it very difficult when we can barely translate the menus.
