... elicits wide-eyed wonder, but the rest of the meal is quite outstanding. The pizza would even appeal to RI brick-oven experts!

Back to the station, we wander through the now thick crowds like a set of ducklings. Two-by-two the Amy-Lily combo is easier to spot and keep track of than you might think and we manage to stay together despite some accordion-like expanding and contracting of the line.

... the electric trains, in front of shouting and screaming kids who bang on the windows, you've got my fullest respect.

So all in all it was a day of mixed surprises. Something positive, something negative. Let's just say that it keeps things interesting for me here. The drivers of one of the Subarus (one of my favourites that was there!) gave us a full tour of his car and chatted with us for half an hour. At another booth, someone who was originally from Vancouver that moved to Japan gave us his email and said he'd show us to some of the other tuning shops and car meets this weekend as ...

... were pretty happy we were only there for one night - I think we felt dirtier after taking a shower there than before.

After "settling" into (crying into a questionable pillow) at the Annex, we picked up our rental car (an adorable Nissan March - unfortunately not of the Nismo variety) so we'd have transportation to Tsukuba Circuit tomorrow.

Overall, not a very eventful day, but Tsukuba Circuit tomorrow means good things to come!!
