... with “Thor’s Hammer”. A little girl was visiting with her Gran and loving it, especially when she was able to ride the Viking hobbyhorse, complete with giddy up noises. Vicki and Gran were laughing their heads off! The museum was built near the site of the Ladby ship burial. It is the only ship burial discovered in Denmark. It was discovered southwest of Kerteminde on the island of Funen. The museum displays many of the original finds and ...

Today was an early start! Odense was very interesting but my bike was so front heavy since it came with a basket. I really thought that i was going to either topple over or crash into someone by the end of the night. Luckily I didn't. ... more young people, students and young professionals, to come live and work in Odense. This is a worldwide problem, most cities are trying to keep their young talent or to encourage new young talent to move there. Odense is really looking at what this age range is wanting, and they make it happen. They are building such things as bike bridges, better public transportation, and other things that are attractive to this generation. They are ...

Today we got up super early and rode the train to Odense, Denmark. Odense is an interesting town, very similar to Eugene in size, population, and topography, so it was interesting to see the differences between the two places as well as the contrast between Odense and Copenhagen. The presentation was one of the most interesting to me that we've seen. They have 34 bike projects to do this year and they have made huge strides in improving the ...
