There's No Place Like Home
So we finally reached our last week of travelling! We had one week left to spend in Bangkok before we flew home. We spent the week exploring temples, catching up at the cinema (before each film they play the national anthem and everyone stands to sing!), and most importantly hitting the markets! Bangkok has a HUGE weekend market, we spent 6 hours there on the Saturday, and 7 hours on the Sunday, and still missed large parts of it, it was incredible!

Packed, checked out leaving our bags behind the reception desk, coffeed right up and headed out in the bright sunshine towards the art gallery.

Departure for Madrid on Wednesday was postponed, due to an unwelcome and unasked for bout of gut rot. Suffice to say that severe wind warnings and the chuck ups on Monday and Tuesday meant that, unusually, we we grown up and sensible for long enough to put off our plans.
But not for long.
A happy evening spent sitting on the new sofas, (one each to prevent distractions), Nick sorted flights and car ...

Sign on the dotted line, and it is then that you are advised that the sofa you have chosen does, in fact, come from China.
And this will take approximately four months.
Then one goes into a lengthy discussion about the little 'extras'.
Would one like insurance? No.
Would one like special terms for repairs? No.
These surfaces do not respond well to stains, baked beans and body fluid..

Last day....
... Incidentally we had to come back as F had left a little present bag with a few games and cards from her friends in. It was in her 'packing area' in the alcove! I had to carefully peel the envelope that was addressed to our letting agent containing our house keys to get one out to unlock the door! Colin mentioned that this could be our retirement house! I think it really has hit him! Off to Mum and Dad's in the evening - a little later than ...
