Spent 5 days during the Chaplin Film Festival. Had a great sea view suite which was very comfortable. The food was excellent at every meal and the service was to a very high standard with very friendly people. Would highly recommend it to anyone

Today we did a "Day in Dingle"! I know it's fun to say..... Lol! Heading from Killarney it's about an hour. I was a little worried about cliffs and curves, but the view of the Irish coast literally took my breath away. It was GORGEOUS! Lots of "oohs" and "ahs" along the drive! The waves were huge! Arriving in Dingle: it's in a bay with calm waters. We first stopped at the ...

... eyes closed, you might have been actually IN the Dingle Bay - delicious! Following the oysters both nights were wonderful fish dinners - a delectible sole with bone-in and grilled scallops - magnificent!

Unfortunately, no camera was present for the gorgeous dinner presentation either.

Monday morning was a true adventure! We awoke, or rather got out of bed, since we hadn't slept much at all for the coughing, went to breakfast (sitting well ...

... a recent Academy PhD graduate, and a homeless man (at least so he seemed. I still can’t figure out who that guy was), followed us back to the house for a night of more spontaneous fun. Until I went to sleep. Who knows how long the other people stayed, but when I woke up, I would never have known, the place was all tidied up.

But wait! It’s almost 3! I must get ready for our camera rehearsal at Glenstal. Tata for now, and I shall write again, soon ...

... sandwiches, apples and scones. We also got some more McVitty’s Biscuits (cookies). There were several things in Rick Steves about locations where "Ryan’s Daughter," starring Robert Mitchum was filmed. We skipped all of that as it didn’t interest either of us.

We stopped at Dunbeg (dun = fort, beg = small). It is a small ring fort constructed on the edge of a cliff, ready to fall into the sea. It was a fort with lower ...
