... to the visitor centre which is at the base of the smoking volcano. From here we were going to catch the last bus of the day down to Aso. We had heard from another backpacker that it was easy to hitchhike back down to town so we decided to start walking and if we had no luck, the bus would pass us. ... had some really nice stuff. I wish I could have bought more. Then it was time to walk to our ryokan which was about 25 minutes out of town. The walk was really nice and we easily found Ryukeien, where we staying. From the first welcome it was amazing. Our hostess took us to our room and showed us everything.
