... that about 15 days is the optimum amount of time you need here to get a good feel for the country, the people and its culture. Unless you want a lot of time to shop, which is never a priority for us.

... this crater. You got great views to Aso town and we saw this perfect cone shaped little hill which once was also a volcano. ... were two indoor onsen where you could also have a proper shower. Then further down two different pathways were 4 other onsen, all outdoor. We decided to head to the onsen as soon as we could before dinner. We went in the two indoor onsen first which were very similar and smallish. The water was so warm!
