Shiho had to work today. It was unfortunate that I won't get the chance to hang out with her during the day but it gave me a chance to catch up with laundry and deal with a mess in my bag from my shampoo. Shiho explained that this area was really trying to become known for the sunflowers. They just made you feel so happy when you saw them because of their bright colour. Next we stopped for lunch. ... run into each other as much as they did. Kyoto and Osaka maybe but it just carried on through Kobe, Akashi, Himeji etc. and it was only the last few kms that you saw any green. Also lots of smog. Pretty heavily industrialised.
Changed trains in Okayama and went across a pretty impressive bridge linking the two islands. No photos though as I was on the bridge!!!
