Aomori, Tohoku, Japan cubnelaine... in calories between a bucket-o-latte & cheesy hamburger as compared to a sea-veg & seal sushi roll with green tea. An apple a day is one area where our cultures seem to coincide. We found an enormous fuji apple in the supermarket to share for lunch (seemed more ethical than the seal...) Whilst walking around exploring we finally decided to have some Japanese ice-cream. They love their ice-cream, especially soft-serve (don't tell me it's got seal-fat in it ...
Aomori, Tohoku, Japan travelmounties... waiting till the weekend when other people were going to go. The train took 3 hours and we accidentally took the local train so it was a very uncomfortable ride. The blossoms were amazing and I think the 130 pictures I took will speak for themselves. I wove some pictures into this (my first time trying this feature) but there are many more in the picture section. Since it was golden week the ...
Hirosaki, Aomori, Tohoku, Japan abra007... I think it would be a fantastic place in the summer or autumn, but we were just a bit too early in the spring. Close to the train station, we stopped by an enormous farm that specialized in dairy cattle and layer chickens. We wandered abot the grounds for a bit, with Kaoru chirping about the cows. When we came out of the main exhibit building, one of the workers was bringing a cow across the yard. Kaoru ...
Aomori, Tohoku, Japan sablevulpe... thing to do, but I cant ever have things the way they are now, after this ever, and that scares the heck out of me. Life moves way too fast and sometimes I wish it would just stop for awhile so I can enjoy the things I want to for just a bit longer. This is all excepted, of course, by Yamazakis essaywriting class, which is said to take an hour and a half but which actually sucks years out of your life and takes at ...
Hirosaki, Japan becky_boo... is the coolest French girl on the WORLD. We miss her alot, but I am definitely going to France to chill with the Frenchies again. I have to write about a new experience I had the other day called LATIN AEROBICS. Yes. It is every bit as freakish as it sounds. Maribel said afterwards that her country (Honduras) is not responsible for anything to do with that class. Firstly, I joined the gym recently. This was necessary due to me beginning to think I ...
Hirosaki, Japan becky_boo... of all, they use kanji. Second of all, they use crazy grammar and weird endings and different kinds of speech than can be found in my textbook. But it will all be for the best I am convinced. Anyways the next movie is coming out in November and we will be there at the doors when it opens...and hopefully I will understand alot more then I did last time. In other news, Last week Witi Ihemaera (sp?) came from New Zealand to lecture in Japan, and since one of our teachers ...
Hirosaki, Japan becky_boo... attempting to speak in Japanese and when I failed looking at this guy and telling him in French what I wanted to say. In other, less disturbing news, we are going to try to take the perpetually postponed trip to the waterfall on Saturday. I have my doubts as we will be at karaoke on Friday as a surprise party for Thom. But, whatever. Last night I tried a custard pudding icecream, by Haagen Dasz. It was so delicious, I highly recommend it. Also the chocolate is excellent. Becky
Hirosaki, Japan becky_boo... watched Lilo and Stitch on Friday with Andy (aforementioned girl from Brazil.) It was really cool and now I am officially obsessed with Stitch. I would also like to point out here that ANDY IS THE PERSONIFICATION OF ALL THAT IS COOL. Thanks. (You can pay me later.) Today for my birthday I got two small stuffed animal pigs from my friend Alistair from Canada. They are so awesome. I have called them Puri and Kura due to my ...
Hirosaki, Japan becky_boo... sure it was, but the ***** of gulls discouraged us in the enjoyable cruising there. Still, the scenery was beautiful at least. Sendai had a Star festival on the same day, but it was not so good, compared to the Nebuta Festival. We happened to find a sauna house in the city and we were so lucky that the house was closed down on the next day. We got up a little bit earlier than we asked to be waken up at ...
