... br>Well, third time around, and I still love it.

The only place around here that has some form of organized physical fitness is the Karate club in Toei-town, about a 40 minute drive for me. Every Wednesday (and now every second Wednesday due to English Conversation Classes), I head to this dojo to attempt a mockery of Karate. I say mockery, because I only understand half of what comes out of the teacher's mouth. But I'm catching on, and they all ...

They ranged from the symbol of strength, a giant Golfish (Koei), to dragons, famous samurai battles, portraits of Geishas, the such. It was a symbol of being badass to have a tattoo. Even today, some respect comes from going through the pain (and risk) of being tattooed.

So what kept me at bay was probably my first experience at the Koei Plaza in Tokyo, the day I arrived. I knew it was going to be a ...

Nagoya, Aichi, Japan arekureyo... The course wasn't too difficult, with winding roads, long bridges overlooking a green lake (they don't call it Midori-ko Marathon for nothing), and surrounded by mountains on all sides. I almost tripped three of four times, Run Fat Boy Run-style, while trying to take all of it in while jamming to Enigma or screaming out Coldplay through my iPod. I tried to say 'Ganbatte' (Good luck! Try your best!) to everyone that went by ...

Nagoya, Aichi, Japan arekureyo... with John at Yaba-Cho. It was so cool! I got to ride the Linimo train (the magnet train!!!) it was such a smooth ride, and it only took about 15 minutes to get to Fujigaoka. From there I took the Higashiyama subway to Sakae and then the Meijo line to Yaba-cho. We went to Mcdonald's or rather John was already there, I was a bit late...Anyways, I had a teriyaki burger again (one of things I will miss when I go home ...
Okazaki, Chubu, Japan weeaboo... was also this red thing that was good, don't know what it was, but you mix it with the rice and it's good. tasted pepperoni-like? had an Okinawa orange for dessert but then as I was leaving my host mom actually glared at me because I misunderstood that she wasn't coming upstairs and so I didn't close one of the doors fully. I'm a bit scared now, I think I may have upset her...
Okazaki, Chubu, Japan weeaboo... successful day! So I left the house at around 11, and saw an ad for recycled kimonos at the Meitetsu store, so instead of going to Kanayama, I went to Nagoya. I got to the store and said I was looking for a pink furisode. I tried it on and it fit perfectly! However I misunderstood the sales lady...I thought she said 18,900 yen when she really said 189,000 yen. Talk about way out of my price range...for those who don't know ...
Okazaki, Chubu, Japan weeaboo... mom set aside dinner for me, and boy what a lot of yummy food, there was pork, tai, buri, kuromame, daikon and of course rice. She even saved me a piece of cake ^_^. Today was my lazy day, I actually slept in, well actually I woke up and then went back to sleep for a couple hours, but still. I had buri and rice and toast for brunch and then worked on one of the essays I have to write. For dinner I had sushi, korokke, mochi and daikon. Dessert consisted of pear and mandarins ^_^.

Dinner I had salmon, a korean noodle dish, sweet and sour chicken, rice and this really good egg thing, kind of like sushi without the seaweed and rice, is the easiest way to describe it. After dinner, Kozue helped me book a hotel or rather hotels in Nagoya for when Dad comes to visit. Now I'm just figuring out what to bring with me to Nagoya.
